The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute Jorge Bras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Olivar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bernabe Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Rahué's goalkeeper Bernabe Ponc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciriaco Olivar. 19 minutes into the game, Honorio Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club A. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rahué the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club A. Boca Juniors's Honorio Lopez got a free kick in the 19th minute. Rahué's Gerardo Bide couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club A. Boca Juniors. Ciriaco Olivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ciriaco Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rahué's Bernabe Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Bras in the 40th minute of play. Igor Erramun hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jorge Bras made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club A. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Cornelio Botello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 60 played minutes, Rahué's Gerardo Bide shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cornelio Botello came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rahué reached it. When Jorge Bras came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Club A. Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Bras couldn't finish the play. After having played for 66 minutes, Jorge Bras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club A. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Bras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Gorbea struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Cornelio Botello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rahué. If Ciriaco Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernabe Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Bras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Gitano kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Club A. Boca Juniors got a corner. Rahué's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victorino Berto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Club A. Boca Juniors's Victorino Berto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernabe Ponc in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Jacobo Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rahué's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Botello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Bras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernabe Ponc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Club A. Boca Juniors's Jorge Bras got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
