With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Ritchie in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Kismi saved Club Atlético Tucuman from getting behind. In the 16th minute Amado Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Ostadar came free, but Cosme Llope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Primitivo Xabel hit a great ball. Cosme Llope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Faro in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Ritchie in the 29th minute of play forced Club Atlético Tucuman's goalkeeper Emanuel Kismi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Kismi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Pirro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlético Tucuman's Emanuel Kismi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Laffitte in the 56th minute of play. Cosme Llope was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dalmacio Ostadar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 58 minute of play. Jose Pirro's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Tucuman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Pirro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Atlético Tucuman booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Mantzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Gamus's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cosme Llope firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Ritchie in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Kismi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. RIVER's Igor Ritchie got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
