In the 6th minute Amado Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Calisto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Calisto having to interfere. Emanuel Kismi was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Marcelino Tallia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelino Tallia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Malvinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Txatxu to maneuver through the defense. Vladimiro Calisto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Ostadar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Quexal kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Honorio Txatxu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malvinas FC's protests and gave Honorio Txatxu a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Club Atlético Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Mancio. Malvinas FC's Vladimiro Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Gamus in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Malvinas FC's Honorio Txatxu got a free kick in the 36th minute. Emanuel Kismi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Tallia in the 40th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Amado Gamus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Tucuman's supporters rose to their feet, but Amado Gamus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Calisto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmacio Ostadar to strike the kick off in the second half. Dalmacio Ostadar might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimiro Calisto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalmacio Ostadar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dalmacio Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Malvinas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Calisto should have stopped the shot. Vladimiro Calisto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Ostadar in the 84th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Gamus got free with Vladimiro Calisto in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Dalmacio Ostadar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimiro Calisto was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When Urbano Baumar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 93rd minute, Urbano Baumar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
