Spectators: 7226 (Terracing: 5421, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guillermo Phelipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guiñazú FC's Laureano Sadurni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Maule in the 17th minute of play. When Guillermo Phelipe came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mil Flores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Phelipe couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Phelipe struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Laureano Sadurni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mil Flores. 29 minutes into the game, Gerardo Pueblo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guiñazú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mil Flores the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guiñazú FC's Gerardo Pueblo got a free kick in the 29th minute. Guillermo Phelipe scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laureano Sadurni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Octavio Llanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Ariel Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guiñazú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Fagondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Maule came free, but Laureano Sadurni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Maule to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ariel Fagondo in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Lano saved Mil Flores from getting behind. Ariel Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Octavio Llanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
