But to his dismay, Filiberto Baraquiel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salame Tandilero FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Donio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Cienaguita booed when Salame Tandilero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Veto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cienaguita eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
