A hard shot 12 in the game by Salvador Abreu from a close distance when the talented Benito Guillelme managed to make a qualified save. Barsa FC's players were relieved. Benito Guillelme made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Salvador Abreu sent off a good shot on target. Elias Otsoa charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Otsoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Elias Otsoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Rendez FC's zone, Silvio Oalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Florinio came out of the goal and Silvio Oalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Florinio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rendez FC's Anacleto Florinio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Oalo in the 33rd minute of play. Lisandro Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barsa FC's Silvio Oalo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lisandro Gutierrez charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lisandro Gutierrez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45thth minute of the game Fernan Gurutz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barsa FC's Benito Guillelme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anacleto Florinio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Duarte in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Silvio Oalo made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Nicanor Walme had to leave the field with a concussion. 63 minutes into the game, Fernan Gurutz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rendez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barsa FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Rendez FC's zone, Vicente Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Florinio came out of the goal and Vicente Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the game, Fernan Gurutz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Benito Guillelme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vicente Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Salvador Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Guillelme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Barsa FC booed when Rendez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Santio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Barsa FC's Lisandro Gutierrez got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 85 played minutes Barsa FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Frisco. Rendez FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Damian Santio in the 88th minute. Rendez FC's Salvador Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rendez FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barsa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
