The Estrugamou fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Tibalt should have stopped the shot. Cosme Ofelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Cordarrol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atilano Fernandes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octavio Belmiro in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Tibalt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute of the match, Claudio Cordarrol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cosme Ofelio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Atilano Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Miñones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Fernandes couldn't finish the play. If Rigoberto Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Belmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Estrugamou's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Belmiro came free, but Alberto Tibalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Cesar Lawrence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Cordarrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustacio Sergi made a kick off. Octavio Belmiro struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Alberto Tibalt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miñones FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Miñones FC's Eustacio Sergi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Tibalt. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. Miñones FC's Cosme Ofelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Cordarrol in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Eustacio Sergi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miñones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Sergi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tibalt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Sergi in the 65th minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Eustacio Sergi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estrugamou's Alberto Tibalt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Octavio Belmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rigoberto Berto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Cosme Ofelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 99th minute Claudio Cordarrol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ofelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miñones FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
