Enrique Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Enrique Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Enrique Perez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Natalio Diaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Avellaneda FC's Ariel Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Barrionuevo in the 39th minute of play. Ariel Alfonso came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Battle Born FC's Teofilo Fonda. But to his dismay, Teofilo Fonda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Battle Born FC's Felipe Enaut got a free kick in the 51st minute. Battle Born FC's Natalio Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Mendrinos in the 65th minute of play. Panos Mendrinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Avellaneda FC's Panos Mendrinos in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Battle Born FC defense, Panos Mendrinos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natalio Diaz. The Battle Born FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natalio Diaz should have stopped the shot. After 85 minutes, Arnulfo Rios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avellaneda FC and the Battle Born FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Avellaneda FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Rios. Enrique Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Diaz having to interfere. Enrique Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avellaneda FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
