The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Perez got free with Francisco Ascencio in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avellaneda FC's Ariel Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Toro in the 15th minute of play. Enrique Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Ascencio having to interfere. Avellaneda FC were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Yanda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnulfo Rios took the corner. 24 minutes into the game, Panos Mendrinos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Francisco Ascencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guido Henric's late challenge caught a Avellaneda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Henric helped the player get up and apologised. Guido Henric hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Arnulfo Rioss short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Francisco Ascencio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 37 minutes into the game, Panos Mendrinos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Francisco Ascencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Lucas Elixio made the kick off in the second half. Panos Mendrinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Francisco Ascencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Benito Toro made a precise shot to the right of Ariel Alfonso. Avellaneda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 61st minute, Avellaneda FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucas Elixio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Lucas Elixio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Toro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ariel Alfonso firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 73 minutes, Panos Mendrinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avellaneda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Mendrinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Panos Mendrinos might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Ascencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panos Mendrinos ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Perez struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Francisco Ascencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avellaneda FC. In the 84th minute of the match, Lucas Elixio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ariel Alfonso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Guido Henric took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ariel Alfonso. Avellaneda FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute, Yanda's Lucas Elixio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 93rd minute, Panos Mendrinos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panos Mendrinos struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Francisco Ascencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avellaneda FC. Yanda succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Avellaneda FC had controlled the match.
