Leonel Libertad might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Alfonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Libertad ran back to his position shaking his head. When Fabio Senio fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chakales FC's protests and gave Fabio Senio a yellow card for diving instead. Fabio Senio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th play minute German Abad came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ariel Alfonso. 1-1. In the 35th match minute, Chakales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Paz to maneuver through the defense. Chakales FC's Victoriano Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Perez in the 36th minute of play. Jaime Dabi charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Dabi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Chakales FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Dabi. Panos Mendrinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Rodas having to interfere. Arnulfo Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Rodas having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Avellaneda FC's goalkeeper Ariel Alfonso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uriel Lonzo. Ariel Alfonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Libertad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Libertad made a kick off. Chakales FC's Victoriano Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Rios in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rdth minute of the game Enrique Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chakales FC's Victoriano Rodas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Panos Mendrinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panos Mendrinos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Rodas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Leonel Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ariel Alfonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Rodas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Mendrinos in the 70th minute. Chakales FC's Victoriano Rodas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Chakales FC from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the match, Avellaneda FC's goal looked a bit too open when German Abad came free, but Ariel Alfonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chakales FC's Victoriano Rodas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Chakales FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Avellaneda FC booed when Chakales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Senio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chakales FC's goalkeeper Victoriano Rodas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Avellaneda FC defense, German Abad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Alfonso. The Avellaneda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Alfonso should have stopped the shot.
