The Ceibal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casimiro Raymundo should have stopped the shot. Bernardino Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Sergi, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Eutor in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Raymundo saved Ceibal from getting behind. Benjamin Cordarrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Casimiro Raymundo made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Moises Nesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardino Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Dalmu, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Aaron Martinez's late challenge caught a Ceibal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Totakoxe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Dalmu in the 23rd minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Bernardino Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Eutor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Casimiro Raymundo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Tuste in the 25th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Bernardino Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Cortez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Sergi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Benjamin Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Cordarrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casimiro Raymundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Benjamin Cordarrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casimiro Raymundo was a little too slow when Celso Eutor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-1. Celso Eutor struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Casimiro Raymundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Scaloneta. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

La Scaloneta's Aaron Martinez got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Aaron Martinez off the ground. Artemio Sergi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Cortez having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Benjamin Cordarrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Benjamin Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Eutor struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Casimiro Raymundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Scaloneta. Celso Casomiro took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Raymundo. La Scaloneta were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Ceibal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zacarias Adrio took the corner. After 79 minutes, Cristobal Dalmu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ceibal and the La Scaloneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Ceibal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Dalmu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Ceibal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Gorka didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes, La Scaloneta's Zacarias Adrio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Casimiro Raymundo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Scaloneta reached it. Zacarias Adrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Raymundo having to interfere.
