But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Toro couldn't finish the play. Jeronimo Padro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Elixio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Yanda's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Clodio came free, but Francisco Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Pipita Higuain defense, Benito Toro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeronimo Padro. The Pipita Higuain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeronimo Padro should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Raul Clodio made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Niceto Cordearo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yanda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pipita Higuain the free kick. Anselmo Pero's late challenge caught a Pipita Higuain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yanda's Anselmo Pero got a free kick in the 61st minute. 62 minutes in the game, Candido Millano dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Benito Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute.
