The audience thought a goal was coming when Severo Urdaspal got free with Enrique Gaskon in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 61 played minutes Rosales got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Cebo. Severo Urdaspal took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Gaskon. Enrique Gaskon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 71 minutes into the match, Rosales's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Urdaspal came free, but Enrique Gaskon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ciro Abadie fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosales's protests and gave Ciro Abadie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Rosales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Abadie to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Gaskon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Urdaspal in the 91st minute of the match.
