Evelio Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Phelipe, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Severo Urdaspal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ánimas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Urdaspal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Phelipe in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon Phelipe scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evelio Furtado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Severo Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Eleven United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ánimas were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Diagur to make the kick off. Evelio Furtado made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Severo Urdaspal sent off a good shot on target. The Eleven United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ánimas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
