Paulino Shepherd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 13 minutes, Saturnino Orland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bossi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Orland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Orland in the 17th minute of play forced Aquarium 2001's goalkeeper Paulino Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Saturnino Orland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Haitz in the 25th minute of play. If Saturnino Orland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Haitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulino Shepherd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Haitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Bossi AFC's Saturnino Orland got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Justino Gudesteo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquarium 2001's Paulino Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Orland in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Aquarium 2001's Justino Gudesteo got a free kick in the 45th minute. Zeledon Haitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Shepherd having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Gudesteo to make the kick off. When Saturnino Orland came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Bossi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Orland couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Aquarium 2001's Paulino Shepherd got control of the ball when Saturnino Orland tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Aquarium 2001 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luciano Montxo hit a great ball. Zeledon Haitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Paulino Shepherd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Haitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Teodosio Etxekopar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Haitz in the 67th minute of play forced Aquarium 2001's goalkeeper Paulino Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bossi AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
