The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luis Montxo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Alejo Ulizes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Godoy having to interfere. Alejo Ulizes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ruben Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Diego Belasko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Belasko got his second yellow card in the match during the 13th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 13 played minutes Franklin FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Belasko. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alejo Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tatay's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejo Ulizes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Franklin FC's Carlos Indartsu got a free kick in the 18th minute. It was beautiful to see Tatay's Silvestre Ibar in action when he in the 19th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Tadeo Ler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin FC's Ruben Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Ler in the 28th minute of play. Ramiro Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Baleren having to interfere. Alejo Ulizes struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ruben Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tatay. In the 38th minute, Ramiro Txatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 played minutes Tatay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Marin. In the 43rd minute Alejo Ulizes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Raebert during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Victor Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeo Ler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Godoy having to interfere.

With a little luck, Franklin FC's Ruben Godoy got control of the ball when Alejo Ulizes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tadeo Ler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Ler in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Elias Behe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Ler in the 71st minute of the match. Tadeo Ler struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ruben Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tatay. In the 77th minute Ramiro Txatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Baleren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franklin FC's Ramiro Txatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Tatay's Alberto Marin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruben Godoy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tatay played a much better game than Franklin FC and deserved their victory. The Franklin FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
