Cosme Gorbea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Lapurdi in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute Clodoveo Lapurdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Gorbea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Paulo Gipuzkoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ALL BOYS JRS's zone, Virgilio Hitzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Gorbea came out of the goal and Virgilio Hitzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosme Gorbea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Lapurdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Hitzeder got free with Cosme Gorbea in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosme Gorbea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clodoveo Lapurdi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Bonifacio Quintan struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gualterio Nisio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALL BOYS JRS. Club Belgrano San Nicolas's Gualterio Nisio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Quintan in the 31st minute of play. Freddy Venerando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cosme Gorbea. ALL BOYS JRS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Virgilio Hitzeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Belgrano San Nicolas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Hitzeder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Virgilio Hitzeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bonifacio Quintan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Virgilio Hitzeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Clodoveo Lapurdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Clodoveo Lapurdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Gipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Nisio having to interfere. A collision led to ALL BOYS JRS getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ladislao Tabb hit a great ball. When Virgilio Hitzeder came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Belgrano San Nicolas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Hitzeder couldn't finish the play. Virgilio Hitzeder might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Gorbea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilio Hitzeder ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute Virgilio Hitzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Gorbea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
