In the 13thth minute of the game Zeledon Sanchez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ipizca's Baldomero Enetz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Ipizca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Frederik to maneuver through the defense. Baldomero Enetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Sanchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Cipriano Nevada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Enetz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Zeledon Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Gigantes's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Sanchez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Enetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Cipriano Nevada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomero Enetz. Ipizca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Nevada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lorenzo Frederik kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Zeledon Sanchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Baldomero Enetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Sanchez was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Zeledon Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Gigantes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Frederik notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Los Gigantes's Severo Elia. Severo Elia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 72 played minutes Ipizca got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Frederik. After 75 minutes of play, Ipizca's Lorenzo Frederik made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severo Elia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severo Elia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Frederik, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Zeledon Sanchez came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Los Gigantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Sanchez couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Los Gigantes's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Frederik came free, but Severo Elia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Gigantes's Severo Elia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Sanson in the 93rd minute of play.
