When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romulo Ganix made a kick off. If Igor Leheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Los Gigantes's Zeledon Sanchez got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of Vancouver were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Los Gigantes side.
