Tiburcio Goi charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiburcio Goi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Cornelio Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Olympia FC's zone, Tiburcio Goi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Viator came out of the goal and Tiburcio Goi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narciso Salvino charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Salvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Gimnasia a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Venancio Tipi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Olympia FC's Santos Viator. 1-1.

Cornelio Oxarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Santos Viator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olympia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia the free kick. After 85 played minutes Olympia FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Su.
