Huracan de Saladillo's Albino Lonzo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albino Lonzo in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremias Todor saved Gimnasia from getting behind. Albino Lonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Todor having to interfere. Isidro Millano kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Delmiro Mano, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 20 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jeremias Todor was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Narciso Sanduru's late challenge caught a Gimnasia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Sanduru helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35thth minute of the game Albino Lonzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gimnasia's Jeremias Todor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delmiro Mano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jeremias Todor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rafael Gaztea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia's Tadeo Heriberto got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a rather tough play, Huracan de Saladillo's Teodoro Arias got a free kick in the 50th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 64th match minute, Huracan de Saladillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Gaskon to maneuver through the defense. Tadeo Heriberto kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Albino Lonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Gimnasia's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Mano came free, but Jeremias Todor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Todor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Mano in the 81st minute of play. Rafael Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Huracan de Saladillo's zone, Rafael Gaztea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Foro came out of the goal and Rafael Gaztea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Huracan de Saladillo's Narciso Sanduru got a free kick in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gaztea got free with Paulo Foro in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 played minutes Gimnasia got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Heriberto. If Albino Lonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cornelio Oxarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gimnasia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Huracan de Saladillo.
