They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Millrick to strike the kick off in the second half. Enrique Irrintzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Ekain in the 55th minute. Justino Porfirio's late challenge caught a Gorilas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gorilas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antuco FC the free kick. Antonio Ekain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Enrique Irrintzi made a huge save. When Fabian Brais came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Gorilas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Brais couldn't finish the play. Enrique Irrintzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
