In the 17th minute, Cristo Elija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eriberto Obeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Hermelando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Teodoro Hermelando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Joey during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Federico Joey hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jacobo Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Teodoro Hermelando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Chusca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Maore to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Benigno Botello made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Errando. Chusca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Chusca's Clodoveo Barea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Hermelando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eriberto Obeko might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Hermelando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Obeko ran back to his position shaking his head. Justino Laffitte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chusca's Clodoveo Barea got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Gergori stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Errando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Botello in the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justino Laffitte got free with Teodoro Hermelando in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Plate Asce FC's Teodoro Hermelando got control of the ball when Justino Laffitte tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Chusca's Eriberto Obeko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teodoro Hermelando. That made the score 1-1 after 58 minutes of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Jacobo Iratxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chusca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Iratxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Teodoro Hermelando managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Chusca's Eriberto Obeko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 66 minutes into the match, Plate Asce FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Obeko came free, but Teodoro Hermelando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Enrique Gergori left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plate Asce FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Teodoro Hermelando made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Justino Laffitte sent off a good shot on target.
