Ramiro Elia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Laffitte in the 11th minute of the match. Ciro Errando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Salvator, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Serafin Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Errando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eriberto Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in BSC Young Boys's zone, Clodoveo Barea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
