Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) Rosendo Dimas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Dimas came free, but Benedicto Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Albacete FC's Hector Jaen got control of the ball when Angelo Millano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 11 minutes, Bernabe Inguma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the Albacete FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bernabe Inguma hit a great ball. Benedicto Gabrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Balesio in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Urbano Roderigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Albacete FC's Emiliano Vistruario tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Aldo Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Millano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Jaen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Millano in the 26th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Octavio Berdaitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albacete FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. A collision led to Albacete FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Octavio Berdaitz hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Angelo Millano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Albacete FC's goalkeeper Hector Jaen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urbano Roderigo. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Rosendo Dimas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Gabrio came out of the goal and Rosendo Dimas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Albacete FC's Aldo Balesio in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Benedicto Gabrio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Aldo Balesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Angelo Millano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Bernabe Inguma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Balesio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Benedicto Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Gabrio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Balesio in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosendo Dimas in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Gabrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Suero in the 63rd minute of play forced Albacete FC's goalkeeper Hector Jaen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Gabrio came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Albacete FC's Aldo Balesio. But to his dismay, Aldo Balesio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Benedicto Gabrio made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Aldo Balesio sent off a good shot on target. Rosendo Dimas struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Benedicto Gabrio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albacete FC. Blas Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Benedicto Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Jaen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Inguma in the 85th minute of play. Octavio Berdaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Angelo Millano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Albacete FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
