After a defensive mix-up in Ramona's zone, Saverio Asier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Rencio came out of the goal and Saverio Asier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saverio Asier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute, Alonzo Jacob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Maldonado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saverio Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Rencio having to interfere. Saul Godoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmar Christobal in the 24th minute. If Saverio Asier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Maldonado hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Fabian Maldonado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute Octavio Martino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Almirante Brown booed when Ramona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Quilino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Martino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgard Rencio. Ramona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Maldonado to make the kick off. Saverio Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Rencio having to interfere. In the 60th minute Amador Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Saverio Asier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alonzo Jacob's late challenge caught a Almirante Brown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Jacob helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ramona getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alonzo Jacob hit a great ball. Cristo Frutos kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Octavio Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's Ignacio Rey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Rencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ramona's Alonzo Jacob got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Isaias Pierres struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Edgard Rencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almirante Brown. The Ramona players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
