Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) JUVENILES's Romulo Barea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Ignazio got free with Gualterio Azubeli in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciénaga's Eloy Gaizko managed to work through JUVENILES's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eloy Gaizko dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. A collision led to Ciénaga getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Mauro Goyo hit a great ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Patricio Ignazio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciénaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Ignazio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Patricio Ignazio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualterio Azubeli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Romulo Barea kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Leonides Chepe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fulgencio Pierres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Leonides Chepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Pierres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
