The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Barcala FC defense, Jeremias Ostadar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Abaunza. The Barcala FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Abaunza should have stopped the shot. If Federico Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Ostadar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Abaunza having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Jeremias Ostadar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duden Versan fútbol club and the Barcala FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jeremias Ostadar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Freddy Abaunza made a huge save. Adrian Tello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Barcala FC's Freddy Abaunza got control of the ball when Leopoldo Haritzeder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias Ostadar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Freddy Abaunza made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruperto Luix during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Freddy Abaunza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Haritzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Tello in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Elizardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Salbatore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Gavino Elizardo made a huge save. Freddy Abaunza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Ostadar, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Freddy Abaunza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duden Versan fútbol club. Freddy Abaunza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Valente in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Jeremias Ostadar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddy Abaunza. Barcala FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Ostadar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Paolo Oroitz hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match Ivan Salvator shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Abaunza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
