The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Calisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Pelayo having to interfere. Eulalio Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Justino Erasto fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escobar's protests and gave Justino Erasto a yellow card for diving instead. Paulino Eusko kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 44thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Escobar's keeper Joel Silvanito was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After having played for 47 minutes, Moises Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escobar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Calisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Calisto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Joel Silvanito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eulalio Mateo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Silvanito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Escobar's Elias Seme got a free kick in the 96th minute. Santiagueños F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
