Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antonio Ciano started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Melchor Valente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genesis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zonda AFC the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Genesis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Valente to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Gaudencio Karmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Atarratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Genesis FC's Felipe Roldan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felipe Roldan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Genesis FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felipe Roldan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Zonda AFC. Horacio Quirce stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ciriaco Atarratze. 0-1. After 16 played minutes Zonda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Hodei. In the 18th minute, Melchor Valente fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Celestino Afonso, passed just outside the right post. Ignacio Eleazar struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Celestino Afonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genesis FC. Alfredo Berdoi made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hector Elia immediately put the ball in play. Celestino Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciriaco Atarratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Hegoi in the 26th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Gogo Saturnin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genesis FC and the Zonda AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, one of Genesis FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Genesis FC. 33 minutes into the match, Melchor Valente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celestino Afonso. Zonda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melchor Valente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Melchor Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Celestino Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ignacio Eleazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genesis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Eleazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Afonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Marcos Araoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zonda AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Araoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Atarratze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Zonda AFC's zone, Melchor Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santos Hegoi made a kick off. Ciriaco Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Hegoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Zonda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Valente came free, but Celestino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Eleazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ignacio Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Celestino Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pedro Botello came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Genesis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Botello couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Zonda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Botello came free, but Celestino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Genesis FC's Ignacio Eleazar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celestino Afonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 74 minutes into the match, Zonda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Valente came free, but Celestino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ignacio Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Pedro Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genesis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Botello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Afonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Gaudencio Karmel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Genesis FC booed when Zonda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Karmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Eleazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genesis FC's Pedro Botello got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Amancio Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Genesis FC had played much better football throughout.
