The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Rudolfo got free with Christian Mancio in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. mongos fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Amado Nahia scored to the left of an out of position Christian Mancio, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, HURACAN de Lugano's Francisco Abechuco got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Francisco Abechuco lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave mongos fc a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Everardo Gipuzkoa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of HURACAN de Lugano's Percival da Silva. 1-1. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benicio Alvarez was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, David Menendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. mongos fc's supporters rose to their feet, but David Menendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Rudolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gaston Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored mongos fc's protests and gave Gaston Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, David Menendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of mongos fc booed when HURACAN de Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, mongos fc's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Domenec came free, but Christian Mancio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Rumaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
