Ballester FC were furious when Herminio Musko was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 12th minute, one of Ballester FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballester FC. Horacio Quirce walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Rodolfo Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's goalkeeper Fernando Urtun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Vincente. Fernando Urtun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Araoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With an all-out effort, Zonda AFC's Fernando Urtun threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcos Araoz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Zonda AFC's Marcos Araoz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Urtun. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. A wasted opportunity for Ballester FC. 38 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's Felix Lia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celestino Afonso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute Jairo Eliazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celestino Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Eliazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 41st minute, Jairo Eliazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Afonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Eliazar to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaudencio Karmel's late challenge caught a Ballester FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Karmel helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Zonda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Karmel. Jairo Eliazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Celestino Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Elia came free, but Fernando Urtun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inocencio Beat kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Ballester FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Gaitano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Zonda AFC's zone, Felix Lia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Afonso came out of the goal and Felix Lia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Federigo charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Federigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Ballester FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Federigo. Eliseo Vincente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Ballester FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
