The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Paranay's zone, Adan Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Txindoki came out of the goal and Adan Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hector Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Cesaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alejo Heriberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Tartalo in the 56th minute of play. Adan Atarrabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nereo Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the match, Adan Atarrabi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nereo Txindoki was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nereo Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Cesaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Paranay's goalkeeper Nereo Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adan Atarrabi. In the 77th match minute, Pink Floyd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Maidana to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Iaki hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 0-1 became the score in the 89th minute when Hector Cesaro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pink Floyd walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
