Yaad Yu took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Lixandro. Gervasio Lixandro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gervasio Lixandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Machado in the 6th minute of play. If Yaad Yu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Machado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gervasio Lixandro came out and tried to block the shot, but Gogo Machado slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. When Alumni's Gogo Machado in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Gota FC's goalie prevented a goal. 23 minutes into the match, La Gota FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yaad Yu. Yaad Yu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Lixandro having to interfere. Gervasio Lixandro had great luck who in the 35thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gogo Machado from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 37th minute, La Gota FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gogo Machado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 45th minute, Gogo Machado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gervasio Lixandro made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Yaad Yu sent off a good shot on target. Gogo Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervasio Lixandro having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nemesio Ursino made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaad Yu in the 54th minute of play forced La Gota FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Nemesio Ursino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the La Gota FC defense, Yaad Yu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gervasio Lixandro. The La Gota FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gervasio Lixandro should have stopped the shot. In the 68th minute Gogo Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Lixandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute of the game, Mario Sancho landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 70 minutes, Victoriano Firme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Gota FC and the Alumni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Gota FC's Victoriano Firme got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Gogo Machado came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Alumni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Machado couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Rosendo Mazuste left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Gota FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Gervasio Lixandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaad Yu in the 89th minute of the match. When Alumni's Gogo Machado in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Gota FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 92nd minute Gogo Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Lixandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
