After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Eugenio Ekhi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gervasio Lixandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Claus in the 41st minute of the match. Rosendo Mazuste's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luciano Baristo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nemesio Ursino struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Luciano Baristo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gota FC. Eugenio Ekhi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gervasio Lixandro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When Victoriano Firme fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Gota FC's protests and gave Victoriano Firme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, La Gota FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Firme to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes in the game, Bruno Claus dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of La Gota FC booed when Podemos vivir sin prensa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Botello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosendo Mazuste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Baristo having to interfere. A collision led to Podemos vivir sin prensa getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Apolo Jesco hit a great ball. La Gota FC's Rosendo Mazuste managed to work through Podemos vivir sin prensa's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rosendo Mazuste dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Luciano Baristo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nemesio Ursino's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Nemesio Ursino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Baristo having to make a save. Podemos vivir sin prensa's Juan Quico shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gervasio Lixandro but with some difficulty. The Podemos vivir sin prensa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Podemos vivir sin prensa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
