Bartolo Venerando came out and tried to block the shot, but Eino Vatsel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florencio Che in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ubaldo Feo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severiano Bernad scored 2-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ubaldo Feo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eduardo Itzaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Izel charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Izel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Capillas booed when Meridiano Vº was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Izel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eduardo Itzaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartolo Venerando made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Alvaro Loreto sent off a good shot on target. If Feliberto Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Itzaina stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Meridiano Vº's defenders and the ball went out. Capillas appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. In the 45th minute, Feliberto Salvadore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capillas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 53 played minutes Capillas got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Donio. Capillas's Eino Vatsel got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Itzaina hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Eduardo Itzaina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Itzaina might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Venerando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Itzaina ran back to his position shaking his head. Capillas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
