Celso Rosario charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Rosario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Meridiano Vº got a freekick which was hit by Celso Rosario. Gerardo Joey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, Celso Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meridiano Vº's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Celso Rosario lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Albano Sansone. The audience was convinced that Paulino Pitin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartolo Venerando was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Paulino Pitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Bartolo Venerando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Pitin might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Venerando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Pitin ran back to his position shaking his head. Candido Kemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bartolo Venerando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Pitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Candido Kemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bartolo Venerando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bartolo Venerando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Handi in the 55th minute. The supporters of Uriburu AFC booed when Meridiano Vº was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Venerando came out of the goal and Candido Kemen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uriburu AFC's Albano Sansone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Rosario in the 69th minute of play. In the 74th minute Gerardo Joey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Sansone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Izel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albano Sansone. Uriburu AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Meridiano Vº was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Rios to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Uriburu AFC booed when Meridiano Vº was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Che didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candido Kemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Bartolo Venerando made a huge save.
