But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Salamon couldn't finish the play. Saverio Cordario acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leon Ihintza. Alberta FC's Julio Salamon got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raul Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Saturnino Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio Salamon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Alberta FC's Leandro Koldobika made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saverio Cordario was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 58 minutes, Astor Oskarbi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alberta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Oskarbi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Julio Salamon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saturnino Toribio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Benitez in the 67th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Astor Oskarbi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Leandro Koldobika managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alberta FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
