Saturnino Toribio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Ernesto Gartxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Ihintza during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leon Ihintza hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Simon Hitzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Saturnino Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Hitzeder in the 22nd minute of play forced Alberta FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Toribio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Lico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Julio Salamon came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Alberta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Salamon couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Leandro Koldobika got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leandro Koldobika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Teofilo Miliano made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Toribio. Alberta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 55th minute, Teofilo Miliano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bonnement fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Julio Salamon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Alberta FC's protests and gave Astor Oskarbi a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Alberta FC got a freekick which was hit by Astor Oskarbi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Gartxot in the 72nd minute of play forced Alberta FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Toribio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Leandro Koldobika got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saturnino Toribio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Gartxot in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Alberta FC defense, Victor Tirso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Toribio. The Alberta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Toribio should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Bonnement's goalkeeper Zeledon Lico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Salamon. In the 97th minute, Julio Salamon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bonnement fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alberta FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
