Agrelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bonnement the free kick. A collision led to Agrelo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Aurken in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Lico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agrelo's German Aurken got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bonnement's zone, Aldo Osmundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Lico came out of the goal and Aldo Osmundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Lico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of German Aurken's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Aurken in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Lico saved Bonnement from getting behind. German Aurken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Lico having to interfere. Bonnement's Zeledon Lico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Iago in the 46th minute of play. The audience was convinced that German Aurken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Lico was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell German Aurken to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Aurken got free with Zeledon Lico in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If German Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Lico was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Rafael Matthew capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafael Matthew really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Bonnement's Zeledon Lico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Bonnement from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Delmar Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agrelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Corderro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Lico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If German Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Osmundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Lico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aldo Osmundo ran back to his position shaking his head. German Aurken came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zeledon Lico could save by the left post. After 84 minutes of play Bonnement's Victor Tirso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Agrelo booed when Bonnement was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Tirso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, German Aurken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Lico. Bonnement's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that German Aurken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a little luck, Bonnement's Zeledon Lico got control of the ball when German Aurken tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agrelo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
