Nunez Monico came out of the goal and Astor Martxot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Benedicto Beat put in a rough tackle. Benedicto Beat kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Juan Bernard struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Nunez Monico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golondrinas. In the 9th minute Higinio Cayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Monico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Miguel Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Cafayate's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Martxot came free, but Nunez Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Golondrinas's Alejo Bartoleme got a free kick in the 15th minute. Nunez Monico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Martxot in the 21st minute of the match. Nunez Monico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Arnoldo Maule scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Candido Oskarbi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nunez Monico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Bartoleme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafayate's Arnoldo Maule got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Nemesio Cidro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Golondrinas's Candido Oskarbi. Candido Oskarbi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nunez Monico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Cayo in the 46th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Cafayate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Santana to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Juan Bernard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nunez Monico skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Astor Martxot to make the kick off. In the 72nd minute, Higinio Cayo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nunez Monico. The goal made the score 2-1. Ramiro Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Candido Oskarbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnoldo Maule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Maule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Oskarbi having to interfere. Candido Oskarbi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Maule, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Maule struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Cafayate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Golondrinas's Silvano Bernal got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ramiro Duardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Golondrinas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
