Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ruperto Matthew managed to get in a good position for a shot. HiguainFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Matthew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejo Gaur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 minutes, Marcos Quintan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HiguainFC and the Murquilla AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Murquilla AFC defense, Ruperto Matthew kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Gaur. The Murquilla AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Gaur should have stopped the shot. Francisco Gil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Murquilla AFC booed when HiguainFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Tome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Gil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Salomon in the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejo Gaur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Matthew, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th play minute Fausto Jesco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Francisco Gil. 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
