With a little luck, Sepultura's Anier Beremundo got control of the ball when Jeronimo Chuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nemesio Ekhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Beremundo having to interfere. Sepultura's Fidel Eneko got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Sepultura's goalkeeper Anier Beremundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Chuan. Jeronimo Chuan struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Anier Beremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kayas. If Vinicio Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Hernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Mendez's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When Adrian Arnalt came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Sepultura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Arnalt couldn't finish the play. Justo Mendez took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulino Hernandez. Paulino Hernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justo Mendez to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Nemesio Ekhi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kayas and the Sepultura players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kayas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Justo Mendez scored to the left of an out of position Paulino Hernandez, making the score, 0-2. In the 63rd minute, Melchor Elazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulino Hernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Mendez's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Justo Mendez lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Paulino Hernandez. 75 minutes into the match, Kayas's goalkeeper Paulino Hernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Mendez. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Justo Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sepultura's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Hernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Mendez in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulino Hernandez saved Kayas from getting behind. Sepultura's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
