With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Hats in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Gil saved HiguainFC from getting behind. Astor Bazil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Tome in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in HiguainFC's zone, Prudencio Amato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Gil came out of the goal and Prudencio Amato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Amato, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Apolo Sayveon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Francisco Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Sayveon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Gil having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, HiguainFC's Ruperto Matthew sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Bazil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. HiguainFC's Francisco Gil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Amato in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th match minute, HiguainFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Tome to maneuver through the defense. Astor Bazil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Matthew in the 29th minute. Astor Bazil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Tome in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute of the match Ariel Aznaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Gil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Prudencio Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Gil having to interfere. Francisco Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Sayveon, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, HiguainFC's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Sayveon came free, but Francisco Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Apolo Sayveon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Apolo Sayveon to strike the kick off in the second half. HiguainFC were furious when Benito Lalla was red carded, 72 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 72nd minute, one of HiguainFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for HiguainFC. Francisco Gil had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Roque Misael's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Apolo Sayveon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Francisco Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Prudencio Amato was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. HiguainFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Rexino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Bazil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The HiguainFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Regina were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
