Justo Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sepultura's attentive Godfredo Poncio managed to snatch the ball when Serafin Sagrario made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. With a little luck, General Urquiza MDP's Emiliano Endira got control of the ball when Godfredo Poncio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astor Olentzaro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in General Urquiza MDP's zone, Fidel Eneko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Endira came out of the goal and Fidel Eneko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Justo Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sepultura's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Endira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Mendez in the 40th minute of play forced General Urquiza MDP's goalkeeper Emiliano Endira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Endira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Demesio in the 41st minute. Justo Mendez might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Endira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justo Mendez ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justo Mendez in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Endira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 47 minutes, Fidel Eneko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sepultura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Eneko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justo Mendez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sepultura were awarded a corner. Gabriel Barto went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Baldomero Chinto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emiliano Endira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 55th minute, Gonzalo Iratze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laureano Rivas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sepultura's Fidel Eneko got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Justo Mendez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Endira was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. During the 75th minute of the match Gonzalo Iratze completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gonzalo Iratze a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sepultura's Jeremias Ibar was substituted for Godfredo Poncio. After a rather tough play, General Urquiza MDP's Gonzalo Iratze got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Justo Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sepultura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Mendez couldn't finish the play. If Adrian Arnalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Jeremias Ibar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Emiliano Endira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Justo Mendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fidel Eneko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sepultura fully deserved thier win.
