In the 3rdth minute of the game Adan Tome who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caballito F.C.'s Inocencio Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Maximo Jaunzuria fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HiguainFC's protests and gave Maximo Jaunzuria a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Maximo Jaunzuria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes HiguainFC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Jaunzuria. Ruperto Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Inocencio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Astor Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Evelio Veronica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caballito F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Veronica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ildefonso Osoitz fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caballito F.C.'s protests and gave Ildefonso Osoitz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caballito F.C. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ildefonso Osoitz hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Caballito F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Fertus. Caballito F.C.'s Inocencio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Tome in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Caballito F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Veronica stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Lisandro Fertus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caballito F.C. and the HiguainFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caballito F.C.'s Inocencio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Tome in the 55th minute of play. Astor Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Benito Lalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. HiguainFC's Francisco Gil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save HiguainFC from getting a goal against them. Fernando Rexino's late challenge caught a Caballito F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Rexino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, HiguainFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Rexino to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Astor Gil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Veronica in the 66th minute of play forced HiguainFC's goalkeeper Francisco Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, HiguainFC's goalkeeper Francisco Gil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Gil. Julian Rufo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Ruperto Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, HiguainFC's goalkeeper Francisco Gil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evelio Veronica. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evelio Veronica in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Gil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Veronica in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Ruperto Matthew was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HiguainFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caballito F.C. the free kick. Ruperto Matthew kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Inocencio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Matthew in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Ruperto Matthew managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HiguainFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Matthew was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruperto Matthew blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Inocencio Santana having to make a save.
