In the last second Eustacio Seguinus throw himself and got hold of the ball when Justo Mendez in the 47thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

56 minutes into the game, Sepultura's Justo Mendez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustacio Seguinus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Eliseo Ordono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Beremundo having to interfere. The supporters of Alpachiri FC booed when Sepultura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Beremundo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Claudio Tab. If Claudio Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Prospero Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fidel Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Anier Beremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Sepultura's Justo Mendez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustacio Seguinus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Many of Alpachiri FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Alpachiri FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Sepultura were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
