Jairo Miro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Miro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Murquilla AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jairo Miro hit a great ball. Jairo Miro kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Sepultura's Anier Beremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Salomon in the 14th minute of play. Sepultura's Godfredo Poncio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alejo Gaur but with some difficulty. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Justo Mendez sped through Murquilla AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alejo Gaur. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Fidel Eneko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sepultura's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Eneko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejo Gaur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Murquilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Arnalt came free, but Alejo Gaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Domingo Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fausto Jesco fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murquilla AFC's protests and gave Fausto Jesco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Murquilla AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Jesco to maneuver through the defense. Anier Beremundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sixto Salomon's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The attack was good, but when Sixto Salomon in the 32nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixto Salomon in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Beremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingo Ritchie struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Anier Beremundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murquilla AFC. Justo Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justo Mendez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Alejo Gaur when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alejo Gaur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Mendez's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Alejo Gaur made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Adrian Arnalt sent off a good shot on target. 48 minutes into the match, Justo Mendez notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Murquilla AFC's Alejo Gaur. Alejo Gaur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Justo Mendez made the kick off in the second half. Alejo Gaur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Mendez in the 63rd minute of play. If Fidel Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justo Mendez in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Domingo Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes, Arnoldo Froylan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murquilla AFC and the Sepultura players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Arnoldo Froylan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Gabriel Barto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sepultura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Barto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejo Gaur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeronimo Jerano's late challenge caught a Murquilla AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeronimo Jerano helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Sepultura got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Jerano. In the 94th minute Justo Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Gaur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sepultura fully deserved thier win.
