A wasted opportunity for Cavi. 9 minutes into the match, Astica's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Valery came free, but Cirilo Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Dalmacio Mantzio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cavi's Cristo Mel. Cristo Mel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cesar Valery came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cavi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Valery couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Astica's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Valery came free, but Cirilo Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cavi booed when Astica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Corderall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Valery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Quinito in the 29th minute of play forced Cavi's goalkeeper Cristo Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Cavi got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Soter. In the 34th minute, Mario Evarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cesar Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Oihenarte's late challenge caught a Astica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Oihenarte helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Cavi got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Oihenarte. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Quinito made a kick off. Cesar Valery might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cirilo Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Valery ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgard Soter kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Cesar Valery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristo Mel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berdaitz in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cavi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Evarado was slow to take the kick. During this time Astica's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mario Evarado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristo Mel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelio Corderall kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristo Mel. That made the score 0-2 in the 77 minute of play. Cirilo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Valery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Valery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Astica were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cavi's much stronger midfield.
