Cristo Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Christian Weather might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristo Mel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Weather ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Futbol Moderno F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Valery came free, but Reynaldo Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Cesar Valery dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynaldo Blanco, 1-1. Edgard Soter made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Futbol Moderno F.C's Ciriaco Flores. In the 91st minute, Cavi's Rodolfo Lope seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rodolfo Lope the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cavi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rodolfo Lope had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Cavi getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rodolfo Lope hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cavi's zone, Christian Weather stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Mel came out of the goal and Christian Weather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristo Mel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hipolito Dantel went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Cavi succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Futbol Moderno F.C had controlled the match.
